This is my most favorite picture. I just can't seem to get enough of trains. This passenger train is headed towards Excelsior along side of what is now Route 61.

Here's Jersey Central R.R. Engine no.928 on the head of a D and H coal train. This picture is from 1941.

This is a coaltrain in 1948, with 3 helper engines to help get over the tough coal region mountains. The Engines are no.3377, 3383 (which is a 2-8-2 type engine) and 4219 (2-10-2 type engine). the engine types, for those not knowing, means an engine that is a 2-8-2, has 2 leading wheels, 8 driving wheels, and 2 trailing wheels.
